Yeah the one in Fountain Valley, like all Frys’s’ is warped, this one has huge stone lions holding up the counters all the puters for sale are on, and some kind of weird Roman looking paintings on the walls etc. Weird! I think it’s so you can feel like you’re doing something of historical importance as you put the nice new Harris TS45 in the TS-21 box to go pay for it. Actually I haven’t been to the one in Anus-Slime, so I can’t really say, I just have to assume it sucks by default because of where it is. You know where’s good for tronics though, is Or-Vac Electronics, that place is pretty decent. And HRO is kind of cool because you can play with the radios although anyone younger than about 50 who knows anything scares the shit out of them lol. Ford Electronics is OK, Action Electronics is a great place to see old Garbage Grove hicks come in to buy “one o’ them culler tellyvision antinnas” and has some kits, I guess there are a of tronics places around here. Plus the ever-present Shit Shack…………

I’m new to phreaking and I really want to try to make a red box, but the problem is that those Ratshack-ass bastards had to discontinue the dialers. And Ialready have the crystals but NO dialer!! I *want* to enjoy your tech support recordings, except that I’m on a shitty dialup connection, and your files are at WAY too high-bandwidth. 112Kbps for a phone recording?! Telephones are capped at 4KHz! Even a 32Kbps mp3 is overkill for phone quality!
I think it’d be better for everyone if you were to reencode the mp3s at, say, 16Kbps, or even 8Kbps (users benefit since they don’t have to wait so long, and you benefit since you can get away from that crappy mp3 hosting service and still not have to pay for much in bandwidth).

Want to let everyone know, I downloaded the tones from your red box FAQ page, converted them to PCM 22.050 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo, then used a sound utility to convert them to a format for and send them to my Sony Clié PDA. It worked! I think this should work on any Palm or Packet PC with at least the little speaker capable of playing MIDI and beeps.
Anyway, that’s it.

PLA was once a group that stood for fun filled revenge, but now your profiteereeing gluttuns that just profiteer off of your T-shirts, CD’s, and whatnot. I’m just saying this to speak the truth. I’m sick and tired of all the bullshit going on in the scene. I’ve been a long time supporttor of the PLA and I dont want to get harassed, but we just want you to know that youre going in the wrong direction.

Well I’v seen this website quite a few times in the past months, and I listened to the prank calls, which are cool. It was only today that I have decided to become a member of the PLA, and learn all I can about phreaking, and go on my own phreaking adventures. I tried out the chatline that is in Utah, and all I got was a reoccurring echo from every noise that was made. Well keep up the good work with the site. I’v done some searching on the web about phreaking tools, and coin tones which is cool, and I strive for perfection.
